The Honourable Consul General, Amb. (Dr.) Amina Smaila, attended the “An Evening of HOPE for Children event", organized by Africa’s Children’s Fund. The event aimed to raise funds for under served children in the U.S, Africa and the Caribbean.

The event which took place in Hyatt Regency Atlanta on November 7th, 2021, was hosted by Mr. Victor Mbaba, the Founder and CEO of Africa’s Children’s Fund. Mr. Mbaba founded Africa’s Children’s Fund in 1993 to motivate and support families and communities to nurture and support all children. Since inception, the Fund has impacted the lives of over 220,000 children in the United States, Africa, and the Caribbean through its development and relief programs for children.

It was well attended by members of the community and supported by notable businesses including but not limited to; Publix, Imperial Fez, Bentley - Atlanta, Hurt & Hurt McDonald’s Restaurants, Georgia Natural Gas; among others.
