In contrast with the TRV and PRV permits under the Nigeria Visa Policy 2020, the SVV is a Short Visit Visa category suitable for applicants who wish to enter Nigeria for purposes requiring less than 90 days. Transiters, tourists, short-stay visitors, humanitarian workers, non-accredited diplomats, clergymen, journalists, medical patients or patients of traditional healers, companions of medical patients, sports participants, entertainers, study tourists, Nigerian holders of foreign passports wishing to visit home, and short-term workers may all be eligible for visas from this category.
