In the Nigeria Visa Policy (NVP) 2020, this range of 90-day visit to 5-year residence visas exist in two visa categories: Short Visit Visas (SVVs) and Permanent Residence Visas (PRVs). Perculiar to the specific visa class, the business or investor visa is obtainable through all approved visa channels : eVisa System, Visa On Arrival (VoA) and through the Nigerian Consular Missions or Visa Application Centers.

 

 

Eligibility

The Business and Investor Visa category range is recommended for business travelers, investors and other foreigners looking to do business, especially the types of businesses that bring capital into Nigeria. The business visa applies to foreign adults who wish to visit Nigeria for the purpose of attending business meeting, conference, seminar, contract negotiation, marketing, sales, purchase and exportation of Nigerian goods, and attend or conduct trade fairs. Business investors may apply for investor visa or residence permit. Business Visas are available to most passport holders except ECOWAS/CEDEAO Nationals and citizens of other countries like Cameroon and Chad with which Nigeria has entered into visa abolition agreements.

 

Basic Requirements

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months with at least 2 blank pages.
  • Booked Return Air Ticket to Nigeria.
  • Evidence of Sufficient Funds. 
  • Evidence of Hotel Reservation. 

  • Letterhead and Stamped/Signed Invitation Letter from company
    ... accepting Immigration Responsibilities (if invited by a company) 
  • Certificate of Incorporation (If invited by a company) 

  • Printout of completed Online Visa Application from.
  • Printout of the Online Payment Acknowledgement slip. 
  • Two (2) recent Passport sized (35/40mm) Photograph.

F4A : Business Visa - Single Entry

SVV Single Entry. Maximum of 90 days. Obtainable through the eVisa System and Nigerian Consular Missions or Visa Application Centers

Additional Requirements:

  • Any extra requirements by the Nigerian Mission or Visa Application Center.

 


 

F4B : Business Visa - Multiple Entry

SVV Multiple Entry Reciprocity Visa. Allows a maximum stay of 90 days for each entry. Obtainable only through the Nigerian Consular Missions

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be citizen of a country that offers similar Multiple Entry visa to Nigerians. 
  • Any extra requirements by the Nigerian Mission or Visa Application Center.

 


 

F4C : Business Visa - Frequently Travelled Executives Visa

SVV Single/Multiple Entry 5-year visa, allows a maximum stay of 90 days for each entry. Obtainable through the eVisa System, Nigerian Consular Missions and Visa On Arrival Program (VoA) which applies only to certain nationalities. 

Additional Requirements:

  • Evidence of at least $250,000 USD investment in Nigeria.
  • Any extra requirements by the Nigerian Mission or Visa Application Center.

 


 

N3A : Investor Visa - Small Scale Enterprise.

PRV Renewable Residence Permit. Five (5) year visa obtainable only through Nigerian Consular Missions

Additional Requirements:

  • Evidence of $250,001 to $500,000 USD as importation and retention of investors' capital.
  • Police report from countries where the applicant was domiciled for the past five (5) years. 
  • Documentary proof of investment in Nigeria. 
  • Any extra requirements by the Nigerian Mission or Visa Application Center

 


 

N3B : Investor Visa - Medium Scale Enterprise .

PRV Renewable Residence Permit. Five (5) year visa obtainable only through Nigerian Consular Missions

Additional Requirements:

  • Evidence of $500,001 to $1,000,000 USD as importation and retention of investors' capital.
  • Police report from countries where the applicant was domiciled for the past five (5) years. 
  • Documentary proof of investment in Nigeria. 
  • Any extra requirements by the Nigerian Mission or Visa Application Center

 


 

N3C : Investor Visa - Large Scale Corporation.

PRV Renewable Residence Permit. Five (5) year visa obtainable only through Nigerian Consular Missions

Additional Requirements:

  • Evidence of $1,000,001 to $10,000,000 USD as importation and retention of investors' capital.
  • Police report from countries where the applicant was domiciled for the past five (5) years. 
  • Documentary proof of investment in Nigeria. 
  • Any extra requirements by the Nigerian Mission or Visa Application Center

 


 

N3D : Investor Visa - Ultra Large Scale Corporation.

PRV Renewable Residence Permit. Five (5) year visa obtainable only through Nigerian Consular Missions

Additional Requirements:

  • Evidence of over $10,000,000 USD as importation and retention of investors' capital.
  • Police report from countries where the applicant was domiciled for the past five (5) years. 
  • Documentary proof of investment in Nigeria. 
  • Any extra requirements by the Nigerian Mission or Visa Application Center

 


 

N3E : Investor Visa - Oil, Power and Gas Sector.

PRV Renewable Residence Permit. Five (5) year visa obtainable only through Nigerian Consular Missions

Additional Requirements:

  • Evidence of upto $100,000,000 USD as importation and retention of investors' capital.
  • Police report from countries where the applicant was domiciled for the past five (5) years. 
  • Documentary proof of investment in Nigeria. 
  • Any extra requirements by the Nigerian Mission or Visa Application Center

 


 

Application Procedure

Processes 5, 6 and 7 below do not apply to e-Visa and/or Visa on Arrival. 

  1. Decide on the Visa - Ensure that your chosen visa class is suitable for your purpose in Nigeria.
  2. Gather Requirements - Prepare all required documents.
  3. Complete Online Application - Fill and Print Form
  4. Complete Online Payment - in the same aforementioned online application process. 

    Note: If your Payment card does not work, it supposedly means the fraud prevention measures of our government are working. Do not worry. You have options to register your payment card with the Nigerian Immigration Service or SWGlobal (the contractor of the Nigerian Immigration Service), or to consult a credible Nigeria Visa Agent with already registered cards to complete this payment stage.

    • Use Registered Card to make the payment.
    • Print out the Payment Receipt/Slip
  5. Affix 2 Passport sized Photographs (35/40mm) with white background with neither head covers nor face covers.
  6. Submit Application with the completed form and attached requirements to the Nigerian Mission , VAC.
  7. Visa Interview - There might be a scheduled interview depending on the visa type and/or if it is the first time you apply.

Important Information

Visa validity: Successful Applicant must enter Nigeria within 90 days from the date of issue.
Caution: This Visa is not valid for employment.

Note: Under the new Nigerian Visa Policy 2020, The Business and Investor Visa classes exist in two of the three visa categories: Short Visit Visa (SVV) and Permanent Residence Permit (PRV). The Business / Investor Visa is obtainable in most Nigerian Consular Missions around the world. Applicant may be invited to the Nigerian Embassy, High Commission, Consulate or Visa Application Center (VAC) for interview if necessary.
