Nigeria NIPSS Kuru Delegation in Johannesburg South Africa

On 24th August 2021, His Excellency Abdul Malik M. Ahmed, Consul General (CG), Consulate General of Nigeria in Johannesburg, South Africa, received in audience participants of Senior Executive Course (SEC) 43 (Study Group 6) of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, on a study tour of South Africa. The delegation was led by Prof. Fatai A. Aremu, a Directing Staff at the Institute.

The CG briefed the visiting NIPSS delegation on a wide range of issues including the workings of the Consulate General, socio-economic and political dynamics of the host country, the Nigerian Community as well as highlights of the bilateral relations between Nigeria and South Africa.

The delegation while expressing gratitude for the briefing and reception informed that the knowledge gained will help the team in compiling its report of the study tour which has as its theme: “Getting Things Done: Strategies for Policy and Programme Implementation in Nigeria.”

As part of the tour, the delegation is expected to visit the Peace Mission Training Center, Pretoria, Electoral Commission of South Africa, National Defence College South Africa, Apartheid Museum Johannesburg and hold a virtual meeting on Tech Government with the Head of Johannesburg Business School.
