High Commission of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Lilongwe was established in September 2012, to enhance bilateral relations between Nigeria and Malawi. The two African countries have since grown steadily in trade and mutual economic development. The mission also handles all diplomatic and consular affairs.
Malawi was previously concurrently accredietd by our High Commission in Zambia at the establishment of Nigeria-Malawi diplomatic relation in 1964, and remained so until 2012 when the new Nigerian Hich Commission in Lilongwe was established.
