THE REGULATORY FRAMEWORK FOR BANK VERIFICATION NUMBER (BVN) OPERATIONS AND WATCH-LIST FOR THE NIGERIAN FINANCIAL SYSTEM 

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in furtherance of its mandate to develop and enhance the security of the electronic payments system in Nigeria hereby releases the Regulatory Framework for Bank Verification Number (BVN) Operations and Watch-List for the Nigerian Financial System. 

The implementation of the Framework is with immediate effect.
