The Immigration Section has commenced the processing of e-passport request at the Embassy. Please note that only biometrics are captured at this Embassy while the production of the e-passport is done at the Nigerian Embassy in Ankara, Turkey. While filling out the online e-passport application form, please choose ANKARA as the processing Embassy and TURKEY as the processing country. DO NOT choose BUDAPEST, HUNGARY as this will render your application INVALID.

In light of the above, we advise all our citizens to start the passport renewal process very early taking into account that the passport will be produced in Ankara, Turkey and also delays that may arise due to COVID restrictions and lockdowns.
