2021 EID-EL-KABIR MESSAGE

The Consulate General of Nigeria, Johannesburg, warmly felicitates with Muslim Ummah all over the world, particularly members of the Nigerian community in South Africa on the occassion of the Eid-el Kabir celebration.

As we observe this year's Eidh Adha, The Feast of Sacrifice, it has become imperative to remind us of the virtues of sacrifice and obedience to Allah Subha Wa ta' Allah as exhibited by Prophet Ibrahim Allahi Salam, thousands of years ago.

It is noteworthy that humanity is faced with the ravages of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has unfortunately made it difficult for the Muslim Ummah to freely observe the Hajj rites for the second consecitive year.

The Mission enjoins us all to consintue to pray to Allah Subha Wa ta' Allah for a definitive solution to the pandemic and all other challenges facing Muslims in particular as well as for the peace and stability in Nigeria, South Africa and the world at large.

May Allah grant us treasured moments of happiness and joy on this occasion as we continue to imbibe the spirit of love, peace, kindness and sacrifice, as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him), and all the prophets before him.

Happy Eid-el Kabir celebration.

God bless Nigeria.
