The Nigerian Ambassador to Angola, HE, Amb. Prof Monique Ekpong was played host to by the CEO of Air Peace, Mr Allen Onyema earlier today in Lagos.
The Nigerian diplomat said the meeting with the Nigerian lawyer and entrepreneur was to establish talks on the expansion of his airline to fly the Angolan route, following her evaluation of the possibilities that abound for the international carrier. This move is one of many that Her Excellency has made in increasing air travel between Angola and Nigeria in order to boost economic activities and people-to-people exchange. One of such moves led to the historic resumption of TAAG Airline flight to Nigeria.
ngSpan estimates that there are over 28,000 Nigerians living in Angola as at early 2020. Air Peace direct flights to the country would be a good addition to the supply of options for Nigerians and foreigners to travel by air between the two countries.
