The atmosphere at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport was flooded with euphoria late night on Thursday, October 7, 2021 as the TAAG Airline flight from Luanda touched down Lagos.
The TAAG Airline resumes flight to the Nigerian route following the presidential request made by the Ambassador of Nigeria to Angola, Her Excellency, Prof Monique Ekpong to enhance business and tourism between both countries. Nigeria Exports to Angola was US$566.28 Million in 2019, according to the United Nations COMTRADE database on international trade. And with Her Excellency's new flight route achievement, the economic activities between our two countries are expected to grow sharply and significantly.
The passengers who boarded the historic flight from Luanda shared their experiences in separate statements, they sent their good wishes to President Muhammadu Buhari, President João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço and Ambassador Monique Ekpong for the relief brought by the restoration of direct flights from Angola.
