Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Damascus was established in 2007 even though official diplomatic relations between Nigeria and Syria was formalised in 1966. Before this mission was opened, Syria was accredited to the Nigerian Ambassador to Beirut. Now, our new mission in Damascus is equipped with the mandate of advancing the welfare of Nigerians in Syria through its Consular Services and providing visas to foreigners, as well as promoting stronger bilateral ties between Nigeria and Syria, particularly in the areas of Trade, Investment, Education, Technological transfer, International cooperation and humanitarianism.
Other than on Public Holidays, the hours of operation at the Embassy are:
Monday to Friday 9:00am – 4:00pm (Eastern Time)
Consular Section Hours: Visa submission 10:00am – 2:00pm Visa collection 2:00pm noon – 3:00pm
