Under the new Nigeria Visa Policy 2020, the Accredited Diplomat Visa is a Multiple Entry Temporary Residence Visa for Accredited Diplomats posted to Nigeria for Mission duties. This renewable diplomatic visa allows holders to perform official work in Nigeria for the duration of their assignment. This R1A visa is only obtainable through the Embassy / High Commision or Consulate of Nigeria.

Eligibility

  • Accredited Diplomat Only
    • Ambassadors, Consuls, Attachés or other accredited diplomats to Nigeria in official capacity

Requirements

  • Valid Official / Diplomatic Passport with at least 2 blank pages. 
  • Letter from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nigeria.
  • Note Verbale from Foreign Ministry of Applicant home country.

  • Printout of completed Online Visa Application from.
  • Printout of the Online Payment Acknowledgement slip. 
  • Two (2) recent Passport sized (35/40mm) Photograph.
  • Any other requirement of the Nigeria Consular Mission.

The period between the date visa is issued and when applicant can enter Nigeria.
